Brian (The Cake Bear)

He is the largest of his brothers
The softest fur, the brownest eyes
And although they love each other
There is one thing they don't realise
About him.
You see, when they eat their meals
Everybody gets the same
They all want a fair deal
Except the one who has the name
I'm about to tell you
His name. is Brian
Brian The Cake bear
Brian is an addict
He knows he just can't get enough
He'll do anything to get it
He is hopelessly hooked on the stuff
Sugar, sponge and icing is everything
To Brian the Cake Bear
When everyone is fast asleep
He sneaks outside in his pyjamas
In the larder there are scones
And chocolate brownies
Victoria sponge and donuts
And eclairs with double cream
For Brian the cake bear
He has a birthday ever day
Always has a cake with candles
But he's lonely anyway
Just can't seem to get a handle
On being a cake bear
Without some one to share his cake with
Then one night
He saw another
Out there standing in the moonlight
He knew it wasn't one of his brothers
This was Claire the pudding bear
And, man, she looked alright
To Brian the Cake Bear
Now that they are married
They eat wedding cake every day
They make each other happy
It's cake and pudding all the way
Their cave is filled
with love and laughter
As they live happily ever after
Brian and Claire
The pudding and cake bears

Acid Reflux

A flash of rain
And the taste of sunlight falling on my skin
The flavour of the wind
My feet sink into the carpet
Up to my knees
I think there might be something wrong with me
So I got kicked out
Of the café for for lifting my knees up to my face
And weirding up the place
So I warn them about the carpet
And I jump into my rocket
Fly into the town
Over the paving slabs and dustbin lids
Dodging groups of kids
By doing skids
Which can be hard
When your rocket does not have wheels
These are the days when I
Feel so strange
And I wonder what I'll do
If I can't get home to you
Guess I'll have to push on through
So I pass unicorns
And the streams of golden grass with eyes of green
Growing human skin
Now it's a while since I've been downtown
And things have really changed
Moving, in an instant,
From surreal into deranged
And I want to hide away
I want to stay sane
But something psychedelic is occurring in my brain
Will I be okay?
Will I be normal again?
And who's to say what's normal anyway?
These are the days when I
Feel so strange
And I wonder what I'll do
If I can't get home to you
Guess I'll have to push on through

Science built a ladder to the moon
And, even though
we're leaving tomorrow
You won't read it in the news
They'd much rather tell you
a rockstar had a kid
With a girl that wasn't his
It's the same news every day
The same news every day
All the fashion
All the gossip
All of the cliches
And it's always been this way
It's the same news every day
The same news every day
Plastered over the front page
A football player tried to
Rape a girl in a hotel and
He makes an obscene wage so
They air her dirty laundry
In the name of justice
Making her life hell
And hidden on page 9
A 5 line story
'Bout a doctor who saves lives
And it's the same news every day
The same news every day
All the fashion
All the gossip
All of the cliches
And it's always been this way
It's the same news every day
The same news every day
I had to turn my back on this
Who cares if some 19 year old
exposes her chest
So now I read New Scientist
Celebrity cannot compete
With scientific discoveries
So the tabloids have to go
They fill your head with crap
Because the public have
a right to know...
And it's the same news every day
The same news every day
All the fashion
All the gossip
All of the cliches
And it's always been this way
It's the same news every day
The same news every day

The sun can shine
'Cause, when you're shining too
I don't know what I'd do
without you
Don't mind the rain
'Cause, we can smile on through
I don't know what I'd do without you.
As long as we're together we'll be fine
As long as I am yours and you are mine
We don't have to hide
Don't have to stay inside
The world is safe
As long as I can see your smiling face
The sun can shine
'Cause, when you're shining too
I don't know what I'd do without you
Don't mind the rain
We can smile on through
I don't know what I'd do without you
We see all the people come and go
I find it helps to know
We all have our home and
We can't do this alone
We need each other
Whether friend or foe, sister or brother
The sun can shine
'Cause, when you're shining too
I don't know what I'd do without you
Don't mind the rain
We can smile on through
I don't know what I'd do
without you
And, as aeroplanes unzip the sky
I slowly close my eyes
Feel the sun on my face
I love the human race
Despite its faults
Though they be many
It would be a lie to say I don't have any

Utopia
06:23
|
|||
I dream of a place
Where the sun always shines half the time
And the rest of the time it's still fine
Cos when it rains, nobody minds
The people are open and kind
Were nobody ever gets mugged on the train
The children are quiet
And everyone's sane
And, regardless of colour or creed
We're all treated the same
And life is a game
Every day
In Utopia
This Utopia of mine
Only lives in my mind
But then so do I
There's a million things
I'd be dying to show ya.
If this was Utopia.
In Utopia, junk food is always the answer
The burgers are healthy
The steak chips cure cancer
Chocolate won't melt on the seat of your sofa
Get on your trousers and end up all over the place
And you're always aware
When you have food on your face
In Utopia
Simon Cowell doesn't exist
And you don't get hangovers
When you get drunk
Capitalism never existed
Communism did but never got twisted
All men are created completely equal
And Lucas never ruined Star Wars
With all of those prequels
Those godawful prequels
Man, they were awful
So, there's no room for you, George
In Utopia
This Utopia of mine
Only lives in my mind
But then, so do I
You could walk down the street
Without anyone trying to grope ya
If this was Utopia
In Utopia you don't get fat when you eat
The toilets are clean no-one pees on the seat.
Farts smell like roses
And sweat tastes like strawberry wine
And no-one complains
when your songs don't rhyme in the bridge
You problably have
Your own opinions
About the sort things
Utopia should be like
And that's fine, but
This one is mine...
In Utopia nobody ever feels odd
There's no need for war
So there's no need for god
Nobody ever feels lonely and cries
Nobody ever gets poorly and dies
Pets live forever, even the hamsters
Also, those cigarettes won't give you cancer
All drugs are legal and perfectly safe
So you can smoke in the pub with all of your mates
Dog owners clean up the mess of their pets
Cats don't kill birds
And rodents aren't pests.
No photos of ugly kids on Facebook walls
Wait, even better, No ugly kids at all!
And Christmas day? That should be every Sunday
And Easter day should also be every Sunday.....
Okay, we'll have them on alternate Sundays
And, every week, we'll have a whole bunch of Sundays
This is at least the fifth time that I have said Sunday
And surely
That's all the Sundays that I owe ya..
When I sing of Utopia
This Utopia of mine
Only lives in my mind
But then so do I
There's a million things I'd be dying to show ya....
